This 1999 Acura NSX is #22 of 51 special-edition models produced for the US market in commemoration of Alex Zanardi’s back-to-back CART championships in Honda-powered cars. Each car in the Zanardi Edition came finished in New Formula Red over a special black interior and also featured a fixed roof, unassisted steering, firmer suspension, lightweight staggered-diameter 16″ and 17″ BBS alloy wheels, and additional weight-saving measures. The car was purchased new by its current owner, and it shows 23k miles. Power is provided by a mid-mounted 3.2-liter DOHC V6 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. This Zanardi-Edition NSX is now offered by the seller, a BaT Local Partner, on behalf of the owner, with owner’s manuals, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.
The Alex Zanardi Edition model was produced with a fixed roof in lieu of the removable panel that was standard on North American-market cars after 1994. Further weight-saving equipment included a lightened rear spoiler and a single-pane glass partition. The aluminum bodywork is finished in New Formula Red with mesh intake covers and other special accents. Additional equipment includes pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing with an LED brake light, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint protection film has been applied to the front end, per the seller, and photographs of paint-meter readings are shown in the gallery below. Scrapes are present on the underside of the front bumper cover.
Metallic gray forged BBS wheels were distinct to the edition, measuring 16” in diameter up front and 17” at the rear, and are mounted with Bridgestones tires measuring 16/17. Zanardi Edition cars came with shock absorbers featuring higher compression and rebound rates than standard variants as well as stiffer springs, thicker rear sway bars, unassisted rack-and-pinion steering, and lower ride height. The brake fluid was flushed in September 2026.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in Onyx leather and suede. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a cassette stereo linked to a six-disc CD changer. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number.
A plaque on the rear firewall identifies this car as #22 of the 51 produced in the Alex Zanardi Edition and features an engraved version of the driver’s autograph.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 23k miles.
The 3.2-liter C32B V6 features dual overhead camshafts on each cylinder bank and utilizes VTEC variable valve timing. Factory-rated output was 290 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque. The oil was changed in September 2026.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report is free from accidents or other reported damage.
