This 1991 Acura NSX is a Canadian-market example that was purchased new by the current owner, and it is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in Formula Red over black leather and is equipped with a limited-slip differential, staggered-diameter 15″ and 16″ forged wheels, a black roof panel, pop-up headlights, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Bose sound system. This NSX shows 116k kilometers (~72k miles) and is now offered in Canada on dealer consignment with the owner’s manuals, service records, and Ontario registration.
The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Formula Red with a black roof panel and pillars. Features include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists an accident in a June 2003 entry, and the selling dealer states that the car was backed into in June 2003, and the hood, fenders, and headlights were replaced as a result. A chip is noted in the windshield.
Staggered-diameter 15″ and 16″ five-spoke forged wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich g-Force Rival tires. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented rotors at each corner. The ABS modulator is said to have been rebuilt in 2015.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in black leather. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a cassette stereo linked to a six-disc CD changer. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number. Wear is visible on the driver-seat outer bolster, and the selling dealer recommends replacing the rear hatch struts.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 298-km/h speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 116k kilometers (~72k miles), although the US Carfax report shows a mileage inconsistency in April and July 2018 that “may just be a clerical error.” All kilometers have been added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing, and the timing belt is said to have been replaced within the last 7k kilometers. Additional work at that time reportedly included replacing the valve cover gaskets, camshaft seals, fuel filter, and spark plugs.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A photo showing the transaxle serial number is provided in the gallery, indicating that the unit falls outside the snap ring failure range.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident and notes the aforementioned mileage inconsistency.
The vehicle is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in Ontario, Canada.
