Seller Description

Doug's Take

The original Acura NSX is one of the best and most important sports cars ever to come out of Japan – and it's not surprising that values are on the rise. This particular example is an early model finished in gorgeous Formula Red, and it boasts the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. It also features a few neat modifications, like a set of 18-inch front and 19-inch wheels, an aftermarket hood, carbon-look interior trim, and a JVC head unit. Plus, this NSX benefits from some good reported servicing, including a recent timing belt service – AND it's offered with the excitement of no reserve, so someone is taking home this NSX at the end of the auction.

Highlights

THIS... is a 1991 Acura NSX, finished in Formula Red with a black interior.

  • This NSX is equipped with the desirable 5-speed manual transmission.
  • Factory equipment includes pop-up headlights, leather upholstery, power-adjustable seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control with steering wheel controls, power windows, mirrors, and locks, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and an automatic climate control system.
  • Modifications reported by the seller include 18-inch front and 19-inch rear aftermarket wheels, an aftermarket hood and body kit, an aftermarket air intake, carbon fiber-look center console trim, and an aftermarket shift knob.
  • Sold as a Honda in global markets, the first-generation Acura NSX made its debut for 1991 as a user-friendly supercar with Ferrari-like performance and Japanese reliability. Aluminum construction kept weight in check, and the NSX stood out as the first production car equipped with titanium connecting rods. Production of the original NSX ended in 2005.
  • Power for this NSX comes from a 3.0-liter V6, rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Mid-mounted, it spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
