This 1991 Acura NSX spent time in multiple states prior to being purchased by the current owner in 2022 and now shows 10k miles. It is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Formula Red over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes staggered-diameter 15″ and 16″ forged wheels, a limited-slip differential, a black roof panel, pop-up headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a cassette stereo, and a Bose sound system. Replacement tires were installed in April 2022, and work in preparation for the sale consisted of changing the oil in addition to replacing the timing belt, water pump, and drive belts. This NSX is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with factory literature, service records, a car cover, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Louisiana title in the current owner’s name.
The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Formula Red with a black roof panel and pillars. Exterior details include pop-up headlights, fog lights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. Staggered-diameter 15″ and 16″ five-spoke forged wheels wear Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires that were mounted in April 2022. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented rotors at each corner.
The power-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black leather that extends to the dashboard as well as the upper center console and door surfaces. NSX-branded floor mats line the footwells, and interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a cassette stereo. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 11k miles. According to the seller, a warning light regarding the taillights remains illuminated on the instrument cluster. The selling dealer notes that the ABS light intermittently illuminates.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Service in preparation for the sale consisted of changing the oil in addition to replacing the timing belt, water pump, and drive belts.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A photo showing transaxle serial number J4A4-1000399 is provided in the gallery, indicating that the unit falls outside the snap ring failure range.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Ohio, Arizona, California, and Louisiana from the initial entry in May 1995. Multiple gaps between entries are present in the report, which also notes a manufacturer recall regarding the seatbelts that was issued in May 1995.
