This 1991 Acura NSX has remained registered in Texas and California through the seller’s acquisition in 2013 and now shows 70k miles. It is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Formula Red over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes staggered-diameter 16″ and 17″ BBS wheels, a limited-slip differential, a black roof panel, pop-up headlights, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a cassette stereo, and a Bose sound system. Service in preparation for the sale included changing the oil, flushing the coolant and brake fluid, recharging the air conditioning refrigerant, repairing the wiring, refinishing the wheels, and replacing the battery, timing belt and tensioner, water pump, oil filter housing and valve cover gaskets, brake pedal stop pad, and tires. This NSX is now offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Formula Red with a black roof panel and pillars. Details include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The rear bumper cover was refinished in 2013, at which time dents on the body were repaired. According to the seller, touch-up paint has been applied to the exterior.
Staggered-diameter 16″ and 17″ BBS wheels were refinished in May 2023 and wear 205/50 front and 245/40 rear Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires that were mounted in preparation for the sale. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented rotors at each corner. The brake fluid was flushed in May 2023.
The power-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black leather that extends to the dashboard as well as the upper center console and door surfaces. NSX-branded floor mats line the footwells, and interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a cassette stereo. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number. Service in May 2023 included installing a replacement brake pedal stop pad in addition to recharging the air conditioning system, which has been converted to utilize R134a refrigerant.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 70k miles.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car passed an emissions inspection in May 2023, at which time the oil was changed, the coolant was flushed, the wiring was repaired, and the battery, timing belt and tensioner, water pump, oil filter housing gasket, and valve cover gaskets were replaced.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas and California from the initial entry in January 1993. A gap is present between 2016 and 2023.
