This 1991 Acura NSX was purchased new by the seller at McGrath Imports of Glenview, Illinois, and now shows just over 8k miles. It is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Formula Red over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes staggered-diameter 15″ and 16″ forged wheels, a limited-slip differential, a black roof panel, pop-up headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, and aftermarket speakers. Service in April 2022 consisted of flushing the coolant and brake fluid, changing the oil, and replacing the battery, timing and drive belts, water pump, transaxle fluid, and spark plugs. This NSX is now offered with a window sticker, partial service records, a car cover, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Formula Red with a black roof panel and pillars. Features include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, fog lights, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. According to the seller, the engine hatch struts do not work.
Staggered-diameter 15″ and 16″ five-spoke forged wheels are mounted with 205/50 front and 225/50 rear Dunlop Direzza tires. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented rotors at each corner. A brake fluid flush was performed in April 2022.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in black leather that extends to the dashboard as well as the upper center console and door surfaces. NSX-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and aftermarket speakers. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number. The replaced stereo is included in the sale.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows just over 8k miles, all of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. A photo showing transaxle serial number J4A4-1002910 is provided in the gallery, indicating that the unit falls outside the snap ring failure range. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Service in April 2022 consisted of flushing the coolant, changing the oil, and replacing the battery, timing and drive belts, water pump, transaxle fluid, and spark plugs.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to McGrath Imports of Glenview, Illinois, along with factory equipment, colors, options, and a total price of $61,600.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Illinois through the most recent entry in February 2022.
