Seller Description

Doug's Take

The original Acura NSX is one of the most impressive Japanese sports cars ever made, as it offers a wonderful driving experience, a high-revving, mid-mounted V6, and exotic styling. This particular NSX-T looks gorgeous in Spa Yellow, and the seller has modified the front end to look like an NA2 NSX, which looks great. But the real draw here is the addition of a turbocharger to the 3.2-liter V6 that significantly boosts the output to 487 horsepower at the wheels – a big upgrade over stock. This NSX also boasts the desirable 6-speed manual transmission, a StopTech big brake kit, and a set of handsome Fikse wheels – and it touts extensive reported service history, which should provide some major peace of mind, along with a clean, accident-free Carfax report, further adding to the appeal.

Highlights

THIS... is a 1997 Acura NSX-T, finished in Spa Yellow Pearl with an Onyx interior.

  • This NSX is equipped with the desirable 6-speed manual transmission, and the odometer currently displays approximately 33,300 miles.
  • The attached Carfax history report contains multiple gaps, but it shows no accidents for the given time period.
  • According to the window sticker provided in the gallery, factory equipment includes a rear spoiler, removable targa top, leather upholstery, an Acura Bose sound system, automatic climate control, and more as listed below.
  • Modifications to this NSX are extensive, and the full list is detailed below. Highlights include a Precision Turbo turbocharger, an AEM Infinity 6 ECU, custom exhaust headers and piping, a Comptech air intake, Bilstein shocks, 17-inch front and 18-inch rear Fikse wheels, a 2004 NSX ABS system and a facelifted NA2 front end conversion.
  • Sold as a Honda in global markets, the first-generation Acura NSX made its debut for 1991 as a user-friendly supercar with Ferrari-like performance and Japanese reliability. Aluminum construction kept weight in check, and the NSX stood out as the first production car equipped with titanium connecting rods. Production of the original NSX ended in 2005.
  • Power comes from a turbocharged "C32B" 3.2-liter V6, rated at 290 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque in its stock, naturally aspirated form. Due to the modifications performed to this NSX, it produces 487 horsepower and 341 lb-ft at the wheels, according to the dyno sheet provided in the photo gallery. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
