Seller Description

This 2000 Acura NSX-T was purchased new by the me at Los Gatos Acura in California, and it shows 76k miles following registration history in that state since new. The car is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle and is finished in Monaco Blue Pearl over Camel leather. Equipment includes staggered-diameter 16” and 17” aluminum wheels, a limited-slip differential, a removable body-color roof panel, pop-up headlights, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a LoJack theft-recovery system, a Bose sound system, and a Pioneer infotainment screen with navigation. The timing belt was replaced in 2021, and the transaxle was replaced in 2020. This NSX-T is now offered with a window sticker, original purchase documents, the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Monaco Blue Pearl with a body-color removable roof panel. Features include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The nose has been refinished to correct stone chips.

Staggered-diameter 16” and 17” seven-spoke aluminum wheels were refinished and are mounted with a mixture of Bridgestone Potenza tires. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented rotors at each corner.

The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in Camel leather, while black leather covers the dashboard as well as the upper center console and door surfaces. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, an aftermarket Pioneer infotainment screen with navigation. A LoJack theft-recovery system has also been installed.  The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 75,600 miles.

I've loved this car for 23 years and decided to move on to an EV and don't have the room in my garage to keep it. It has been garaged every night and detailed professionally twice a year.  In addition I had an inspection done by Lemon Squad in April, 2023 and this is their take:

The pre-purchase inspection on this 2000 Acura NSX begins with the exterior. The Monaco Blue Pearl paint color and clear coat show extremely well for a twenty-three year old car. The driver’s door and trunk rubber seals are torn. There is some normal wear to the high gloss finish on the driver’s door handle trim. The rear taillight assembly has some minor scratches. The rear tires are worn to 3/32 thread depth reading. There is no evidence of curb rash on any of the rims.

Inside I noted the driver’s seat upper and lower outer bolsters are slightly worn. The items worth mentioning are that there two plastic trim pieces that are cracked due to age. One is at the passenger seat and the other is at the hood release handle. All the media and function buttons and controls show no noticeable wear. The climate control blows cold. I measured a max temperature output 44 F. I performed a computer scan of the engine control module (ECM) for engine fault codes and found no stored code in the ECM.

Next, I inspected the engine bay. I found no evidence of engine fluid leaks. The engine coolant level was slightly low but clean. The battery functioned well. The brake fluid was dirty but full. Engine oil level was full and clean.

The seller performed the road test as I was in the front passenger’s seat. At the time of the road test the engine started up and idled well with no issues. The road test was performed in a residential location with light traffic flow. We reached cruising speeds of 45 MPH on the main road. I found the engine acceleration to be strong and smooth. The braking performance was firm with no evidence of a brake pull or vibration. While keeping hands free steering the vehicle tracked straight.
