Seller Description

Doug's Take

The original Acura NSX is a Japanese car icon, boasting an exceptionally well-balanced chassis and a truly wonderful driving experience. Yes -- even with an automatic, which I personally think has some nice benefits (including the thrill of potential daily driving!). This one is especially beautiful, touting a gorgeous -- and rare -- color combination. It's also largely unmodified and it features a clean, accident-free Carfax report along with a reportedly recent belt service, for added peace of mind. The NSX is a wonderful car, and I'm thrilled to see this example here on Cars & Bids.

Highlights

THIS... is a 2003 Acura NSX-T, finished in Long Beach Blue Pearl with a Camel interior.

  • The attached Carfax vehicle history report shows no accidents or mileage discrepancies in this Acura's past.
  • Factory equipment includes 17-inch forged alloy wheels, a removable aluminum targa top, leather upholstery, cruise control, and power-adjustable seats. The only modification reported by the seller is the installation of a Pioneer head unit with navigation and a rear-view camera.
  • This NSX is equipped with the uncommon "SportShift" automatic transmission, and according to NSXPrime, is the only 2003 NSX sold in the United States in this color combination with an automatic transmission.
  • Sold as a Honda in global markets, the first-generation Acura NSX made its debut for 1991 as a user-friendly supercar with Ferrari-like performance and Japanese reliability. Aluminum construction kept weight in check, and the NSX stood out as the first production car equipped with titanium connecting rods. Production of the original NSX ended in 2005.
  • A facelift for the 2002 model year brought revised front and rear fascias and did away with the pop-up headlights from earlier models in favor of fixed xenon HID units. Other changes included larger wheels and a revised suspension.
  • Power comes from a "C30A" 3.0-liter V6, rated at 252 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Output is set to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
