This 1992 Acura NSX is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 and was modified with a supercharger by Comptech USA in 2001. Finished in Berlina Black over black leather, the car is equipped with a five-speed manual transaxle, a limited-slip differential, 17″ and 18″ Tecnomagnesio wheels, cross-drilled and slotted brake rotors, Koni shock absorbers, a Comptech exhaust system, pop-up headlights, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Kenwood touchscreen stereo. Work since 2021 has included updating the transaxle case, replacing the timing belt, water pump, camshaft head plugs, and lost motion assemblies, and replacing the right axle shaft, ignition switch, and tires. The current owner purchased the car in 2023 and it is now offered on dealer consignment with an owner’s manual, a binder of service records and documentation, the removed transaxle case, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Indiana title.
The aluminum bodywork is finished in Berlina Black and features pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. A remote locking system was installed in June 2023.
Silver 17″ and 18″ Tecnomagnesio wheels were mounted with 215/40 front and 275/35 rear Dunlop Direzza ZIII tires in May 2023. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension equipped with Koni yellow shock absorbers. Braking is handled by gold-finished NSX-branded calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors at each corner. A four-wheel alignment was performed in May 2023.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in black leather, while a replacement carpet kit and Essex floor mats were installed in March 2021. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Kuya Automotive HEPA cabin filter kit, and a Kenwood touchscreen stereo mounted in a modified and refinished center console. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 600 of which were added under current ownership. A Honda ignition switch was installed in October 2024.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and was modified in January 2001 by Comptech USA of El Dorado Hills, California. Upgrades installed at that time include a Comptech PowerPlus supercharger, a high-flow carbon-fiber airbox, and aftermarket exhaust headers. A dyno sheet from 2001 is provided in the gallery. A major service by Source 1 Automotive of Maineville, Ohio, between March and May 2023 included adjusting the valves, changing the engine and supercharger oils, and replacing the following components:
- Timing belt and water pump
- Camshaft head plugs
- Lost motion assemblies
- Serpentine belts
- Spark plugs
- Coolant hoses
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Comptech PowerGrip clutch was installed in 2001, and a Comptech exhaust system is fitted. The right axle shaft was replaced in March 2021. The transaxle half-case was replaced in May 2023 to address the snap-ring issue. The removed transaxle case is included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California and Indiana
