Seller Description

This 1991 Acura NSX is finished in Formula Red over red and black leather and is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter VTEC V6 linked with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Modifications include a custom Rotrex centrifugal supercharger, an ARC airbox, an air-to-air intercooler, a Tial blow-off valve, RM Racing headers, high-flow catalytic converters, a Comptech exhaust system, a revised fuel system, a LINK stand-alone ECU, Comptech swaybars and coilovers, Koni dampers, Brembo disc brakes, staggered SSR alloy wheels, aftermarket aero elements, a polycarbonate hatch, a roll cage, a Sparco quick-release steering wheel, Simpson harnesses, auxiliary gauges, and a Pioneer DVD head unit linked to a custom sound system. It is further equipped with pop-up headlights, power-adjustable seats, and a cabin heater. Acquired by the current owner in 2001, the car was mechanically refurbished in 2025. This modified NSX is offered on dealer consignment in Arizona with a build sheet, a dyno graph, an invoice for the refurbishment, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Hampshire title.

The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this car is finished in Formula Red with a color-coordinated roof. Exterior details include a front lip spoiler, pop-up headlights, a vented hood, power-adjustable side mirrors, aftermarket side skirts, chrome side air intakes, a polycarbonate hatch with a scoop, an aftermarket rear wing, and a rear valance sourced from a 2004 NSX.

The SSR GT-3 forged alloy wheels with silver centers and polished lips measure 18×7.50″ in the front and 19×10″ in the rear. They are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Nero tires and are mounted to the hubs over H&R 15mm spacers. The double-wishbone suspension is modified with a polished Comptech rear strut brace, Comptech front and rear sway bars, and adjustable Comptech coilovers with Koni dampers. Braking is handled by Goodrich braided stainless steel lines feeding front and rear Brembo big brake kits featuring red calipers over 328mm cross-drilled and ventilated rotors. The ABS system has been deleted.

The power-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black leather with red inserts and Mechanics Direct Modifiers embroidery on the headrests. Appointments include a roll cage, Simpson multi-point harnesses, a cabin heater, cruise control, a MOMO shift knob, Sparco pedal covers, polished sill plates, and a Pioneer DVD head unit with a retractable screen linked to a Kicker amplifier and a custom sound system. The air conditioning system has been removed.

The leather-wrapped Sparco steering wheel is mounted on a quick-release hub and frames a 188-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. Auxiliary gauges for boost pressure, fuel pressure, vacuum, and air/fuel ratio are housed in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 1,600 miles, and total mileage is unknown. The horn has been disconnected.

The trunk houses a fire extinguisher and a disconnected nitrous oxide system with a remote bottle opener.

The replacement 3.0-liter VTEC V6 was assembled and installed in 2025 by ScienceofSpeed in Chandler, Arizona, with the following parts and replacement components:

  • Timing belt, timing sensor, and high-performance tensioner
  • Oil pump
  • Camshaft seals and end plugs
  • ScienceofSpeed Intake Air Bypass (IAB) delete
  • ScienceofSpeed Lost Motion Assembly (LMA) sensors
  • Water pump
  • Tial 50mm blow-off valve
  • 1050cc Injector Dynamics fuel injectors
  • ScienceofSpeed fuel-injector resistor bypass

  • AEM X-Series UEGO wideband with Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor
  • Spool valve filters

  • Coil packs and spark plugs
  • Link XtremeX G4X ECU

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a lightweight flywheel, a Comptech Power-Grip 2 clutch, and a six-speed manual transaxle with a Comptech lockout controller, a limited-slip differential, and 4.55:1 gearing. The selling dealer states that the transaxle has accrued approximately 1,600 miles of wear since installed new.

The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage.
