Seller Description

This 1992 Acura NSX is finished in Berlina Black over black leather and was acquired by the seller in 2015. The car is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 mated to a five-speed manual transaxle and is equipped with forged 15″ and 16″ wheels, a limited-slip differential, pop-up headlights, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a cassette stereo linked to a six-disc CD changer. Service completed under current ownership includes replacing the timing belt and PCV valve, converting the air conditioning system to R134a refrigerant, and replacing the headliner. This NSX shows 27k miles and is now offered with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, service records, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.

The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Berlina Black with a black roof panel and pillars. Features include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that a 2017 accident required repainting the front bumper and right-front fender. The taillight gaskets were replaced in June 2019.

Forged 15″ and 16″ wheels are mounted with 205/50 front and 225/50 rear Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires showing 2020 date codes. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented rotors at each corner. One front and three rear wheel studs were replaced in May 2024.

The power-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a cassette stereo linked to a six-disc CD changer. The audio system amplifier does not work. The headliner was replaced in December 2019 and the air conditioning system was converted to R134a refrigerant in 2022.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 24k of which were added under current ownership.

The mid-mounted 3.0-liter VTEC V6 was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt and PCV valve were replaced in 2017, and service in 2022 included changing the coolant and replacing the battery.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.

Transaxle serial number J4A4-1004405 is shown above. This number falls within the range of gearboxes known for the snap-ring failure. The seller notes that the shifter moves under acceleration in first and second gears. Bodymotion Inc. inspected the transaxle and changed the fluid in June 2024. A photo of the inspection report can be found in the gallery.

The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage.
