Seller Description

Doug's Take

I've always argued that supercars are meant to be driven, and this Acura NSX's owner seemingly agrees with me – the car has over 234,000 miles! Someone really enjoyed it, which is great to see. This NSX touts a long-term owner who's had the car for 20 years, and it reportedly received a major engine overhaul a couple of years ago that included several modifications intended to improve its performance and dependability – but it still retains a stock look when you see it from the outside. This NSX is also offered with the excitement of no reserve, so this will be an exciting auction to watch and participate in!

Highlights

THIS... is a 1993 Acura NSX, finished in Berlina Black with a black interior.

  • This coupe is equipped with the desirable 5-speed manual transmission.
  • Modifications reported by the seller include a modified ECU, ScienceofSpeed pistons, multi-layer steel headgaskets, a ScienceofSpeed Lost Motion Assembly kit, ScienceofSpeed billet engine oil pump gears, a Taitec GT102 Inconel exhaust system, a ScienceofSpeed Sport 275 clutch kit, and newer NSX-sourced 16-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. Some of the removed factory parts are reportedly included in the sale.
  • Factory equipment includes pop-up headlights, power-adjustable seats, and a Bose sound system.
  • Sold as a Honda in global markets, the first-generation Acura NSX made its debut for 1991 as a user-friendly supercar with Ferrari-like performance and Japanese reliability. Aluminum construction kept weight in check, and the NSX stood out as the first production car equipped with titanium connecting rods. The original NSX went through several updates until production ended in 2005.
  • Power comes from a 3.0-liter V6, rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque when left stock. The modifications could increase those figures but a dyno sheet is not available. The engine spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
