Seller Description

Doug's Take

The original Acura NSX has become a seriously desirable classic, as the enthusiasts who had a picture of it on their wall as a kid now want to put the real thing in their garage. This NSX ticks a lot of the right boxes: it boasts low mileage, it touts a clean, accident-free Carfax report for added bidder confidence, AND it's unmodified. The recent timing belt replacement is a nice bonus that should give bidders peace of mind – and I love the removable roof panel, as it turns this NSX-T into a quasi convertible. Formula Red works well on these, too. I'm proud to offer this NSX-T on Cars & Bids, and I'm already jealous of the next owner.

Highlights

THIS... is a 1997 Acura NSX-T, finished in Formula Red with an Onyx interior.

  • This NSX-T's odometer displays about 38,600 miles.
  • The attached Carfax history report starts in 2008 and lists no accidents or mileage inconsistencies during the given time period.
  • Factory equipment includes 16-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, pop-up headlights, a removable roof panel, power-adjustable seats, air conditioning, a cassette player, a Bose sound system, and cruise control. The seller reports no modifications.
  • Sold as a Honda in global markets, the first-generation Acura NSX made its debut for 1991 as a user-friendly supercar with Ferrari-like performance and Japanese reliability. Aluminum construction kept weight in check, and the NSX stood out as the first production car equipped with titanium connecting rods. The original NSX went through several updates until production ended in 2005.
  • Power comes from a 3.0-liter V6, rated at 252 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
