Seller Description

When Honda debuted their first sports car, the NSX, it forever changed the supercar landscape forever. It put the Italian and German manufacturers on notice-anything other than their best would no longer suffice. An exceptionally modern shape, the car featured advanced aerodynamics and was the first series production car with all-aluminum bodywork. Initially powered by a 3.0-liter V6 with Honda's famed VTEC variable valve timing technology, the NSX was a worthy competitor to the contemporary Ferrari 348 and Porsche's 964 but with far greater reliability. Built between 1990 and 2005, the NSX saw a few revisions throughout its life, the first in 1997 with the introduction of a 3.2-Liter engine and 6-speed manual gearbox and the second, in 2002 with the removal of the popup headlamps. Although the change in headlamps is the most noticeable differentiator from the 2002 refresh, it was actually far more comprehensive with the addition of stiffer suspension, more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers and side skirts, and a new rear wing design. It was also at this time that the color palette was broadened for both the interior and exterior of the NSX- the interior was now available in blue, red, and yellow and there were corresponding exterior colors to match. This 2002 Acura NSX is one of just 233 examples produced for that year and is painted in Formula Red with a matching red perforated leather interior. Built in May of 2002, the car has only been driven 76,467 miles from new and remains in very nice overall condition. On the outside, the car's paint is in excellent shape with just some minor signs of use and doesn't look anywhere near 20 years old and the unique 7-spoke wheels still look perfect. Out back, the only modification is a rare Route KS titanium exhaust system that really wakes the car up and makes it sound fantastic-especially when hitting the VTEC changeover! On the inside, the red perforated leather and matching red carpets are in fantastic overall condition and it looks more like a car with 15,000 miles on it. The original Bose stereo is still installed and the metallic finish on the center console still presents very well. Included with the sale of this car are the original books and manuals in their leather folder along with the factory tool kit and a car cover in the trunk.
