Seller Description

This 1991 Acura NSX was first delivered to Acura of Tustin, California, and remained registered in the state before being relocated to Colorado in 2016. The exterior is wrapped in gray vinyl and power comes from a 3.0-liter V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The transaxle was rebuilt in 2018 with a revised gearset along with a ScienceofSpeed clutch and flywheel kit, and additional modifications include an NSX-R shift boot, carbon-fiber B-pillar covers, and Bilstein shock absorbers. The interior features seats reupholstered in black leather and microsuede, and additional equipment includes a rear spoiler, automatic climate control, cruise control, and 15″ and 16″ alloy wheels. This NSX now shows 239k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a tool kit, a Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.

The car was delivered in Berlina Black (NH-547) and the exterior has been wrapped in gray vinyl. Additional exterior features include a rear spoiler, aluminum body panels, pop-up headlights, side air intakes, and dual exhaust outlets. Exterior modifications consist of an antenna delete plug, a third brake light strobe module, and Route KS carbon-fiber B-pillar covers. The Carfax report shows that the vehicle was involved in a sideswipe collision in January 2007 and the airbags did not deploy, and the seller reports that the car was rear ended under previous ownership. The left door is believed to have been repainted and the rear bumper cover and rear hatch struts were reportedly replaced under current ownership. The seller notes imperfections in the front bumper and fading clearcoat on the right door and quarter panel, photos of which can be seen in the gallery below.

Silver-finished 15” and 16” five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires measuring 205/50 up front and 225/50 out back. The car features Bilstein shocks, and stopping power is from disc brakes at all four corners with StopTech rotors and semi-metallic pads. The seller reports knocking from the steering rack and recommends rebuilding or replacing the ABS pump.

The cabin features power-adjustable seats that were reupholstered with black leather, microsuede inserts, and red stitching. The black leather extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panel inserts, and tan carpeting is protected by NSX-branded Zanardi floor mats. Additional equipment includes an NSX-R shift boot, automatic climate control, cruise control, and serialized NSX sill plates. The seller notes that the speaker and amplifier boxes have been removed and are included in the sale.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 190-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 239k miles, approximately 13k of which were added by the seller.

The 3.0-liter C30A V6 features VTEC variable valve timing as well as dual overhead camshafts and was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque when new. Recent service is said to have included a compression test as well as engine oil and transmission fluid changes.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The replacement transaxle features a revised gearset as well as an upgraded countershaft, ring gear, stopper plate, and spring plate along with a ScienceofSpeed Sport 275 clutch and flywheel kit. Installation of the aforementioned components was performed in May 2018 by Pikes Peak Acura of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is documented in the gallery below.

Partial service records are pictured above and included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature and a tool kit.

The Carfax report lists the aforementioned accident in January 2007 as well as history in California and Colorado.
