The 3.0L DOHC C30A V6 features an aluminum alloy block, titanium connecting rods, and VTEC variable valve timing, and was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt, water pump, and battery were replaced in 2021 at 44k miles.
Power is directed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The transaxle number J4A4-1005363 is shown in the gallery and falls within snap ring failure range; the upper transmission case and related components were replaced in April 2017 as a preventative measure.
