Seller Description

This 1991 Acura NSX was first registered in Illinois and was acquired in 2009 by the seller, who relocated the car to Wisconsin and added 13k of the under 18k miles now shown. It is finished in Formula Red over black leather, and power is provided by a 3.0-liter C30A VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Features include pop-up headlights, automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats, and a factory cassette stereo system. During current ownership the climate control head was replaced, and in preparation for sale the brake master cylinder and tires were replaced, the hydraulic systems were bled, and an alignment was performed. This NSX is now offered with records from the seller’s ownership, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Wisconsin title in the name of the seller’s trust.

Aluminum bodywork is finished in Formula Red (R77) and features a fixed roof and pillars finished in black. Exterior features include popup headlights, side intake scoops, and an integrated rear spoiler. The seller reports that the driver’s door was repainted due to a scratch. Close-up photos of the lenses, trim, and badging are included in the gallery below.

Forged aluminum wheels measure 15” in diameter up front and 16” out back and wear Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires that show 2019 date codes and measure 205/50 and 225/50, respectively. Four-wheel anti-lock ventilated disc brakes were standard equipment on the NSX, though the ABS pressure switch has been bypassed on this example. The master cylinder was replaced and the brake and clutch hydraulic systems were bled in 2020, and an alignment was also performed.

The cabin is trimmed in black leather that extends from the power-adjustable seats to the matching dashboard and pleated door inserts, along with carpets lined with NSX-branded floor mats. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a cassette stereo, and an NSX-branded phone mounted in the center console. The climate control unit was replaced in May 2010, and a shorted door speaker was repaired in August 2012.

The leather-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline and a 188-mph speedometer, along with gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. 17,500 miles are shown on the six-digit mechanical odometer, approximately 13k of which were added by the seller.

The 3.0-liter C30A V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and was rated at 270 horsepower with 210 lb-ft of torque when new, and the seller states that the timing belt was most recently changed in June 2011. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle which the seller reports is out of the snap ring range.

Records are available from the seller’s ownership and manufacturer’s literature is shown in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Illinois and Wisconsin beginning in November 1994 through its most recent entry in September 2019. At least one open recall is shown.
