This 1991 Acura NSX has been with the seller since 2013 and is finished in red over two-tone ivory and black. The car has 133k miles and is powered by a mid-mounted 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Modifications include a Cantrell Concepts exhaust, Pioneer touchscreen head unit, aftermarket body panels, staggered-diameter Enkei wheels, TEIN coilovers, Stanceparts air cups, and more as described below. This NSX is now offered in San Angelo, Texas with a clean Carfax report, car cover, removed factory parts, service records, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
A fiberglass front lid with vents has been added, along with a Wings West front lip, Seibon Type R-style wing, aftermarket rear valence and side intakes, and Back Yard Special side skirts. Cosmetic issues are said to include peeling paint on the passenger-side mirror housing, a chip in the middle of the rear bumper above the license plate, subpar work where the rear valance meets the bumper, a crack in the driver-side front fender near the leading edge of the wheel well, some scratches on the passenger-front fender, corrosion on the tie downs, and fading clear coat on the rear wing. An invoice from Ferman Acura in July 2005 shows the front bumper cover being replaced and painted, and the seller had the front lip repainted in September 2019.
The car has been lowered on TEIN coilovers and features Stanceparts air cups up front, which provide nose lift capability. 17″ front and 18″ rear Enkei RPF1 wheels wear Honda center caps and are mounted with blue lug nuts. The brake calipers have been painted red, and Kumho Ecsta PS31 tires measure 215/40 up front and 265/35 out back.
The ivory seats have had their inserts reupholstered in black and feature red NSX embroidery on the headrests. Additional alterations include a Personal steering wheel, metal shift knob, NSX R-style mesh shift boot, silver and carbon fiber accent trim, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, Rockford Fosgate amplifiers, aftermarket speakers, and Zanardi Edition floor mats.
The steering rack was rebuilt and upgraded in September 2018 by NSX Rack Repair, then reinstalled by the seller with urethane bushings. Tie-rod ends were replaced at the same time, and the car was also aligned. The A/C system has been converted to run R134 refrigerant and fitted with a new compressor and drier. 133k miles are shown on the six-digit odometer, approximately 34k of which have been added by the seller since 2013.
The 3.0-liter DOHC V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and developed 270 horsepower at 7,100 rpm and 210 lb-ft of torque at 5,300 rpm when new. The five-speed manual transaxle is equipped with a factory limited-slip differential. Modifications include a Cantrell Concepts muffler, Koyo radiator, and Pride headers. Maintenance performed in March 2018 included replacing the coolant hoses, camshaft seals, and valve cover gaskets. A number of service records dating back to January 2004 are attached in the gallery.
The transmission serial number is attached above, and is reportedly outside of snap-ring failure range.
Additional underside photos are displayed in the gallery.
The seller notes that the factory steering wheel, rear wing, and side intakes are included in the sale. The NSX-branded car cover can be seen in the gallery below.
The recent Carfax report displays no accidents or other damage, and also shows history in Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2013. The seller is in the Army and has kept the car in North Carolina, California, and Texas.
