This 1991 Acura NSX was originally delivered to ACA Motors in Lislie, Illinois, and spent time in Texas before it returned to Illinois and was later acquired by the seller in September 2018. The car is finished in Formula Red with a black roof over a black leather interior and is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Features include a limited-slip differential, a rear spoiler, a Bose cassette stereo, a Kenwood amplifier, automatic climate control, and power-adjustable seats. This NSX shows just over 9k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, an NSX brochure, service records, a window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Formula Red (R-77) and features a black roof, pop-up headlamps, side air intakes, an integrated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Two rock chips are noted, one on the hood and the other on the driver-side mirror, and paint meter readings taken by the seller are provided in the gallery below. Scrapes are visible on the front lip.
Factory 15” and 16” forged alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin tires that measure 205/50 up front and 225/50 out back. A space-saver spare and fluid reservoirs are housed in the front trunk. A brake service was performed in May 2017.
Power-adjustable seats are upholstered in black leather, which extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panel inserts. NSX-branded floor mats line the footwells, and amenities include a factory Bose cassette stereo, cruise control, power accessories, and an air conditioning system that underwent an R134a refrigerant conversion in May 2017. A Kenwood amplifier is installed behind the passenger seat, and the seller reports the volume output from the speakers is low.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel fronts a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 190-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows just over 9k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added by the seller.
The transversely-mounted 3.0-liter C30A V6 features dual overhead camshafts per cylinder bank and VTEC variable valve timing. Output was rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque when new. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in September 2009, a coolant flush was performed in May 2017, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The gearbox fluid was changed in May 2017 per the seller. A photo of the transaxle number J4A4-1002055 is shown in the gallery, indicating that the unit does not fall within the snap ring failure range.
