This 1992 Acura NSX is a black-on-black example that was sold new in Georgia and spent time in Alabama and Tennessee before it was acquired by the seller six years ago and brought to Ohio. Power is provided by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Maintenance in 2014 included a timing belt service and a clutch replacement, and the climate control unit was replaced in 2013. This NSX shows 44k miles and is now offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, a window sticker, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The aluminum body panels are finished in Berlina Black (NH-547), and the recent Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage. A scratch is noted on the arch ahead of the passenger-side wheel, and closeups of the area are provided in the gallery below along with additional images of the finish.
Staggered-width factory alloys measure 15” in diameter up front and 16” out back, with Dunlop Direnza DZ101 tires mounted. The aluminum monocoque chassis rides on a double-wishbone suspension with forged control arms front and rear.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather with matching carpets and model-branded floor mats. Amenities include four-way power seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Bose sound system. The climate control unit was replaced in 2013 and the evaporator was replaced about 10 years ago. The stereo was repaired in 2007 according to an invoice from Factory Car Stereo Repair in Longwood, Florida.
The six-digit odometer shows just over 44k miles, 6k of which have been added by the seller. A period NSX mobile phone has been retained in the console.
The 3.0-liter DOHC C30A V6 features an aluminum alloy block and titanium connecting rods while utilizing VTEC variable valve timing. Factory-rated output was 270 horsepower when new, which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle equipped with a limited-slip differential. A timing belt service was performed in 2014 by Source 1 Automotive in Maineville, Ohio, with the water pump and clutch also replaced at that time. A K&N air filter has been added, and the factory air filter housing is included with the sale.
Additional underside photos are included in the gallery below. Transaxle number J4A4-1004514 is also shown in the gallery, and is noted to be within the range of potential snap ring failure.
The Carfax report is free of issues and shows four owners in Alabama, Tennessee, and Ohio. The window sticker is pictured in the gallery below and lists the original dealer as Baranco Automotive in Morrow, Georgia, along with a suggested price of $65,600. A walk-around video is featured below.
