Seller Description

This 1991 Acura NSX is an early-production example that shows 10k kilometers (~6,500 miles) and was kept by its original owner in Canada until being imported to California and acquired by the selling dealer in late 2018. This black-on-black hardtop is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and an oil change and general inspection were carried out following the selling dealer’s acquisition. This NSX is offered in California with an unused fitted luggage set, a clean Carfax report, an NSX coffee table book, factory literature, import documents, and Saskatchewan registration.

The body is finished in black, and the condition of the paintwork is shown up close in the gallery below. The car was one of a pair purchased by the original owner, and is said to have been stored as part of his collection in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan until 2018.

Factory staggered-diameter wheels are 15” in the front and 16” out back, with all wearing Toyo Proxes tires. The retractable headlights are shown both lowered and raised.

Pleated black leather covers power-adjustable seats, and equipment includes a factory cassette player, cruise control, and air conditioning. A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 280-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,900 rpm redline, and a six-digit odometer showing just over 10k kilometers (~6,500 miles).

The 3.0-liter V6 is mounted transversely behind the cockpit and pairs with a five-speed manual transaxle. Peak output was 270 horsepower with 210 lb-ft of torque when new thanks to dual overhead camshafts per cylinder bank and VTEC variable valve timing. An oil change and general inspection were recently performed, according to the selling dealer, who notes that the timing belt and engine cover struts are due for replacement. Due to California emissions requirements, this vehicle must be sold to a dealer or out-of-state resident.

Storage is located in a compartment aft of the ending bay. Fitted luggage was a $2,500 accessory offered by Acura at the time, and the included set retains its original storage bags as shown below.

The October 2018 Carfax report shows an accident-free history through August 2010. Included documents show that the car was imported to the US by RM Sotheby’s in December 2018, and EPA paperwork is also pictured in the gallery.

Documentation includes owner’s books, purchase paperwork, a parts catalog, and a coffee table book in plastic wrapping.
