This 1991 Acura NSX is finished in Berlina Black over black leather and is powered by a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. The car was sold new in Tennessee, and spent time in Alabama before being relocated to California by a previous owner. It was purchased by the seller in 2013. The transmission was reportedly rebuilt prior to 2000, and the timing belt was replaced in 2012. Modifications include a Dali coolant overflow tank, timing belt guard, and red front brake calipers. Now showing 147k miles, this NSX is being offered with the original owner’s manuals, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The first-year NSX was offered in only three colors, including the Berlina Black finish seen on this example. The paint shows a small area of fading on the passenger door B-pillar, a chip on the passenger side mirror, and an area of touched-up paint on the driver’s door.
The factory staggered-width alloys measure 15″ in front and 16″ out back and wear Bridgestone Potenza RE730 tires, sized 205/50 and 245/45. The front brake calipers have been painted red.
Black leather upholstery covers the 4-way power seats, dash, steering wheel, shift knob and boot, hand brake lever, and door panels. Factory equipment includes power sideview mirrors, power windows, automatic climate control, and a Bose sound system with cassette. Both power window regulators were replaced by a previous owner, and the car comes with two sets of floor mats.
Wear is present on the steering wheel and shift knob. The mechanical odometer indicates 147k miles, with the seller adding around 6k miles during his 6 years of ownership.
Power comes from the 3.0L C30A V6 mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. The engine features VTEC variable valve timing, and output was factory-rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. A Dali coolant overflow tank and timing belt guard have been installed. The seller notes that the rear engine lid struts will occasionally lose tension in certain weather conditions.
Per the seller, the transmission internals were rebuilt and the snap-ring repaired by a previous owner. A new clutch was installed at that time. A timing belt service was performed in 2012, and the cooling hoses have been changed. An oil/filter change and inspection were completed in April 2019.
The door sill plaque indicates the car’s serial number as MT002757.
The sale will include the original owner’s manuals, a service manual, and hardcover NSX book. The original spare and jack also accompany the car.
The Carfax report lists no accidents or other damage and shows history in Tennessee, Alabama, and California.
