Seller Description

This 2003 Acura NSX is a targa model that has just under 30k miles and is finished in Berlina Black over a tan leather interior. Power comes from a 3.2L VTEC V6 paired with a 6-speed manual transaxle, and this example is one of just 171 produced for the model year. Purchased new at Acura of Memphis in Tennessee, the car remained with the original owner until 2006 before moving to Indiana and Missouri. The current owner acquired the car in 2016 and had it maintained by NSX specialist Chris Wayland. Within the last 4k miles a new timing belt was installed in addition to new cam plugs, VTEC O-rings, main coolant hoses, and four tires. A recent PPI is shown below, and this NSX is now being offered on dealer consignment with a clean Carfax, an extra set of floor mats, targa storage bags, a fitted car cover, owner’s books, three keys, and a clean Colorado title.

Styling updates for the 2002 model year included fixed headlamps and a revised front air dam. The Berlina Black over tan color combination was ordered on just four cars in 2003, and noted blemishes include light stone chips on the nose along with scraping on the underside of the front air dam, a rear bumper scuff, and an area of condensation behind the rear tail panels lens. No history of accidents or other damage is shown in the included Carfax report, and the cosmetic condition is further shown in gallery close-ups below.

The seller states that the targa panel and attachment points are free of blemishes, and a Comptech exhaust has been added. Factory updates to the late NSX included thicker sway bars along with revised spring rates and suspension geometry. 17″ alloy wheels wear newer Yokohama S.Drive tires measuring 215/40 in front and 255/40 out back.

The cabin is said to remain stock apart from a dealer-installed GROM Bluetooth module and NSX-R replica floor mats. The 6-place odometer shows just 29,700 miles, approximately 3,400 of which were added by the current owner in two years of driving.

Tan leather seats are power-adjustable and feature perforated center inserts. The original tan floor mats are included with the sale.

The hood, trunk, and engine cover struts were replaced by the current owner. Rear trunk storage contains a 6-disc CD changer and is pictured in the gallery below.

The mid-mounted 3.2L V6 is all aluminum and features VTEC variable valve timing and four valves per cylinder. Output was increased to 290 horsepower for 3.2L cars, and the 6-speed manual transaxle is equipped with a limited-slip differential. Under the current owner, the car has been maintained by NSX specialist Christ Wayland and Fischer Acura in Boulder, Colorado. The timing belt, cam plugs, VTEC O-rings, oil sender O-rings, and coolant main hoses were replaced over the past 4k miles.

A recent PPI performed at Fischer Audi found no outstanding issues, and the engine oil and filter were replaced. A printout listing work performed at Fischer Acura can be seen in the gallery.

The recent Carfax records an accident-free history in Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana, and Colorado. Regular service visits to area Acura dealers are listed over the life of the car, and the mileage is confirmed with 21 readings from 2003-2017.
