This 1997 Acura NSX shows just 28k miles and is a stock targa model finished in Spa Yellow over black. The car was sold new in California and remained there with its original owner until April 2017, when it came to Maryland and was acquired by the seller. Power comes from a 3.2-liter VTEC V6, which is mounted transversely behind the passenger compartment and is mated to a 6-speed manual transaxle. A PPI was recently performed, and resulting maintenance included a timing belt and water pump service. A replacement clutch master cylinder was also added along with a new coolant tank, seals, belts, and more as detailed below. The car is sold with the results from a recent appraisal, a clean Carfax report, records from the recent work, and a clear Maryland title in the seller’s name.
Spa Yellow paint (Y-52P) shows a pearlescent sheen under bright sunlight and is detailed in a number of close-up photos below. The car is one of 89 examples produced in this exterior color for 1997, all of them targa models with removable roof panels. No accidents are shown on the Carfax report.
Staggered factory 7-spoke wheels wear a polished finish and new BFGoodrich G-Force rubber. Trim and plastic lenses are shown up close in the photos below, which also show both retractable headlights in the up position.
The black leather interior retains its original steering wheel, stereo, shifter, and instrumentation. Trim and switchgear are shown up close along with factory instrumentation, which includes a 180 mph speedometer and an odometer showing just over 28k miles. The seller has added 2,000 miles in recent months. Light wear is shown on the outer driver-side seat bolster.
The mid-mounted 3.2-liter VTEC V6 is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and received a new timing belt, water pump, and tensioner during a recent service by Daisy Import Auto Care of Woodbine, Maryland. A valve adjustment was also performed along with replacement of the front crank seal, camshaft end plugs, valve cover gasket, and spark plug tube seals. The clutch master cylinder and coolant tank were replaced and both associated systems were bled. Additional new items included a battery cable, air filter, and trunk struts.
The brief Carfax report above shows no accidents, thefts, or other issues. An invoice from the post-PPI mechanical work is shown below, while prior records are few aside from a handful of oil changes. The seller recently had an appraisal performed, with the results viewable in the gallery.
The sale includes two keys with remote fobs, original owner’s literature, and a factory space-saver spare tire. The seller’s Maryland vanity plates are not included. The car is financed through the seller’s credit union, and the load will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the new owner.
