With the New Sportscar eXperimental, Honda showed the world that a supercar could both be reliable and used everyday. It was the development of years’ of effort to create a world beating, but mostly, Italian beating exotic from the island of the rising sun. It combined advanced aerodynamics, a cockpit resembling that of a fighter-jet, and a high-revving, naturally aspirated V6 with Honda’s trademark VTEC in the middle for optimal weight distribution. Also special to the NSX’s existence was the input received from F1 driver Ayrton Senna, a triple-world champion and widely regarded as one of, if not the greatest racing driver ever. As his McLaren Formula 1 car was Honda powered, Honda asked for his input in polishing the NSX’s chassis. As Road And Track’s Brendon McAleer wrote, “Honda engineers managed to increase the chassis stiffness of the NSX by 50 percent after Senna’s comments, and his further input helped create an even more balanced machine.” Today, the allure of Senna’s involvement with perfecting the NSX has helped solidify its stature as a true classic that’s still wonderful to drive today.
This 1995 NSX is in immaculate, collection worthy condition. This is the sought after "Targa" with a removable center roof. The automatic transmission is rare, and in excellent condition. All necessary maintenance has been completed and this car is ready for 200k miles. It drives incredible. It never ceases to put a smile on my face! Apart from the cross-drilled brakes, everything is unmodified and kept true, but maintained to its original glory. This NSX-T has just over 80k miles, and is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied.
